Dara Torres and her 6th try for the US Olympic Team

Dara Torres is almost a freak of nature.

She became the oldest female Olympic Swimmer at 33. The same year she brought home the most medals in her career.

At 41 in Beijing became the oldest Olympian of ANY sport and brought home 3 more silver medals.  Now she is attempting to come back again, and will likely make it, at 45... an age where most Olympians are hoping their children are doing well in the Olympics.

So Dara Torres is almost a freak of nature.  But she is  a freak of nature that is an inspiration to us all, and someone we can all look up to and use as an inspiration as our aging bones cry out enough! Dana shows us what is possible with proper diet, exercise and one heck of a lot of hard work.  Good Luck Dana in making the 2012 Olympic team and good luck becoming (once again) the Oldest winning Olympian if you do make the team.
